What Buggy Tenerife is (and isn't)
Buggy Tenerife is an independent site for information and comparison of buggy tours on the island. We explain the real formats — road, mixed and off-road —, compare zones and formats editorially, and help you decide which tour fits what you're after.
We're not an operator. We don't own the vehicles, we don't run the tours, and we don't take any payment through this site. We compare real operators, and when you book one of the tours we show, the booking and payment happen directly on the operator's platform — we're not involved in that step.
Our criteria
How we compare, and the criteria we follow
- We don't invent commercial data. Price, duration, pickup point, insurance or cancellation policy: if we haven't confirmed it with a real operator yet, we mark it as "to be confirmed" instead of filling it in with a plausible-sounding number.
- We verify before stating a fact. When a page makes a legal or regulatory claim — for example, what's permitted inside Teide National Park — we cross-check it against the official source before publishing.
- We compare formats, we don't sell one. Road, mixed, off-road, self-drive or guided tour: we explain the real differences of each option so you decide, not to push you towards whichever suits us best.
- We don't use content from other sites. Neither text nor photos from operators or competitors — what you see here is our own writing and our own photography.
The final step
How booking works
When we compare a tour, we link directly to its listing on the operator's booking platform — today, mainly GetYourGuide. There you can see the date, real availability, and book with secure payment: we're not involved in that process and we don't see your payment details.
Some of those links are affiliate links: if you book through them, we may receive a small commission from the operator. It never means an extra cost for you — you pay exactly the same as if you'd booked on your own.
